My Valentines Choice

It's that time of year again when lots of men are asking for help and advice about what to buy their other halves for Valentine's Day, so here's my annual insight into what's lighting my fire lingerie-wise.
This year I'm having a bit of a robe-chemise-camisole-french knickers thing, and concentrating on the thought of a lover unwrapping a beautiful gift that she will love and and is both exciting and enticing – bringing back the passion that Valentine's Day stands for and to bring enjoyment to you both .
So my first choice is the Claret Cherie Teddy by Kiss Me Deadly. I loved this the first time I saw it...its rich, deep rich colour and the sensation of satin against your skin just shout luxury... the lacy cups are only just the right side of transparent... the culotte style is provocatively short without being too revealing...the lace trim at the top of the thighs feels dangerous and sexy...this is definitely what people were thinking of when they invented the term "playsuit"...
Next is the Cobalt Blue La Precieuse Chemise by Rosy. Another beautiful colour and again the luxuriant satin oozes luxury... this classic slip-style chemise is long enough not to need panties, but the low-cut back makes it loose around the bust and deliciously risque...and who doesn't love the feeling of skin through satin...
The sensationally sheer L'Artiste Chemise, again by Rosy, should definitely not be worn on it's own even after the watershed...and even when combined with the matching L'Artiste Tanga it's still not for the fainthearted! But if you're not fainthearted this 1950's retro-inspired combination is an absolute must.
Ahh, Rosy's Floral La Precieuse Camisole...now this is really fun and pretty but it's way too short to wear on it's own. So luckily there's a choice of Floral brief or Floral tanga to go with it depending on how you feel about your derriere.
Another Rosy favourite of mine is the La Vintage camisole. Made in a fabulous soft silk adorned with delicate cream lace, this elegant but definitely sexy little slip-style chemise is a definite must in any girl's wardrobe. Like the La Precieuse it's definitely best as part of a set with briefs but with this you have the choice of La Vintage Tanga, La Vintage Briefs and La Vintage Deep Briefs depending on your mood.
A few pairs of French Knickers are another must for your boudoir lingerie drawer, they can be worn as luxury nightwear with a slip or with stockings and suspenders for day and night. The Joanna's Wardrobe Isabella French Knickers come in black, ivory or red and can be matched with a bullet or spiral bra from our Retro Mix and Match Collection.
For the Hollywood Starlet look there's not much than can beat an Elle Sheer Robe from Kiss Me Deadly. These sheer tantalizing retro style Elle robes are available in black and in purple and are a fabulous choice paired with matching Elle Knickers.
Last but not least is our own fabulous Betsy corselette which is available in both black or red with fun and flirty over-sized polka dot panels. I love this myself but another reason for choosing it is it's been trending in the top five on Joanna's Wardrobe for the last couple of weeks so it looks like a lot of you love it too! Matched with a pair of gorgeous stockings will add a bit of 50's style fun and flirtation to your lingerie collection - a perfect gift this Valentine's Day!
I hope these ideas help you to find something special!
